The captivating art of painting unveils something new each day. Here is an insight to Vincent Van Gogh best piece of art: Sunset at Montmajour.

Sunset at Monjour is an artistic design depicting a landscape in oils. The painting took place in 1888 while Van Gogh was in Arles, France. The piece of art is a garrigue landscape with an unruffled background of Montmajour Abbey. The painting is an art from the most desirable moments of Van Gogh's life. At that moment he came up with some of his significant masterpieces such as The Bedroom, Sunflowers and The Yellow House. From a distance, the painting portrays a dusk hill, landscape with a forest at Montmajour in Provence, including wheat fields and Benedictine Abbey ruins. During Van Gogh's time in Arles, Mountmajor was commonplace for his visits.

In 1990 the piece of art was presented to staffs at Van Gogh Museum. But it was dismissed following doubts on whether it was Van Gogh`s work or not. The spat came up because the art did not have Van Gogh's sign. So there was no authenticity connecting to the piece of art. Years down the line, there was an elevation of investigation techniques and a new team launched an investigation over the validity of the piece of art. The investigation was carried out in 2011 by Van Gogh Museum.

The piece of art was subject to an investigation of material and style. The investigation revealed the same range of materials that were used by Van Gogh during his times of painting. In-Depth research was launched for more information. In the long run, it confirmed the art's validity was a letter written by Van Gogh to his brother relating a landscape he had painted in the preceding day on 5th July 1888. The art of work seemed to have taken place during the evening in changing light. It looks like the light interfered with his artistry. The picture illustrates the desire to capture Montmajour rocky countryside and an unfinished sparkle of vegetation.

During summer Van Gogh made significant advancements in his paintings and showed his skills as a landscape artist. According to Louis van Tilborgh analysis, the brushwork and style were precise of the artist work. More so the canvas and pigments are tallying with the ones used by the artist during that time. The analysis was the discovery of a building on the left side of the horizon. Van Gogh`s piece of art is legendary and lives on as part of the modern art industry.
