The Orchard with Roses painting is one of the bestsellers when it comes to Klimt’s works.

Born in 1862 Gustav Klimt was a popular symbolist painter from Austria. He is noted for his sketches, murals, objets d’art and paintings. Although the primary subject of his art was the female body or the femme fatale, Klimt occasionally painted landscapes too. Klimt had a very difficult childhood, but the iconoclast managed to overcome his childhood impoverishment to become a world-famous artist. He has had a major impact during the Viennese Secession as well as the Art Nouveau movement. The themes of his works are mostly the female body, death, love and regeneration.

He used thin and rhythmic ductus in the painting, which in turn resulted in structural homogeneity in the painting. Klimt doesn’t follow the traditional Western culture when it comes to art, therefore the images in his works often represent freedom and are commonly unconventional in an out-of-the-box manner. All his paintings fetch high value. Apart from Orchard with Roses, other famous works of Klimt includes The Tree of Life, Lady with a Fan, The Kiss, Mother and Child, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, Apfelbaum, Water Serpents II, Attersee, The Virgin, etc.

In fact his works have an eclectic range of influences, namely Classical Greek, Byzantine, Egyptian and Medieval styles. Klimt is a forerunner of Art Deco and Modernism movements. In fact, such is his influence that even though he passed away in 1918 his works are very much prevalent today in the 21st century and his creative influence resonates in jewelry, decorations and art even today!

Orchard with Roses is a commonly purchased Klimt painting. There is something very peaceful and enchanting about combining roses with fruit trees in an orchard. The original painting uses the oil on canvas technique but the reprints are produced using high quality inks and hand-crafted canvas for a high-definition and vivid finish. The painting looks best against a clean, uncluttered wall, preferably the accent wall of a room. Some recommendations would be the dining room or the bedroom. It instantly draws the attention of the people entering the room with its complex strokes, vivid colors and striking design.
