Alphonse Mucha's paintings came from within, to send a spiritual message. Following a sudden illness, the artist died in Prague on July 14, 1939. He will be remembered for his remarkable work.

Alphonse Mucha was one of the most famous Czech artists in the Nouveau movement. He left a remarkable legacy in the form of paintings and drawings. His work was admired in postcards, illustrations and designs.

After spending some time in Vienna, Mucha was noticed by Count Karl Khuen-Belasi, who used his income to fund Mucha's art training in Munich and then in Paris.

His fame began in 1894 when he was asked to create a poster for a theatrical at Gismonda, played by one of the most legendary actress of the time, Sarah Bernhardt. These designs were originally called the Mucha style.

Mucha spent many years creating one of the greatest masterpieces The Slavic Epic. He gained public recognition as he created the Master of the Art Nouveau poster, decorative panels produced to brighten interior walls or for the artistic appreciation.

Mucha's first decorative panels were The Seasons (1896) a series of four panels exhibiting the four seasons. These panels illustrate beautiful women with signifying gestures, decorative flowers with fascinating colors to create a compelling vision to inspire the viewer.

The series was followed by other famous series The Arts (1898), The Flowers (1898), The Times of the Day (1899), and the Precious Stones (1900).
